Mike Levanduski, M.S.
in his role as Supervisor of Laboratories for American Infertility Services, provides the expertise and skills required to maintain the highest possible standards in our IVF laboratory setting. Mike also devotes a portion of his time consulting for other IVF labs worldwide to insure standards and quality assurance. He is certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis and is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the New York Embryology Society.
Mr. Levanduski received his Master of Science degree from the University of Idaho in 1987, where he studied genetics, embryology and IVF. Subsequently, he worked in research and development for Granada Biosciences, Inc. His work there included IVF research in a variety of species as well as the development of nuclear transfer cloning procedures. Mr. Levanduski first performed intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) on research animals in 1985, years before this technique was adopted for use on humans.
For more than a decade Mike has perfected his skills in advanced embryo and gamete micromanipulation in the field of clinical human embryology. He is currently active in a variety of clinical research areas, including the development of techniques to freeze human oocytes to benefit cancer patients, donor oocyte recipients, and women who wish to bank their oocytes for future reproductive choices. Additionally, Mr. Levanduski has invented and authored a key stem cell technology which is patent pending. Mike speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese.
